Omni recently participated in an Army Corps of Engineers combined groundwater and river sediment study for the Mississippi River. Omni personnel were responsible for continuous sampling of river sediments and residential wells during Corps dredging operations. The purpose of the sampling was to ensure that the residential water supply was protected from leachate from the placement of potentially contaminated river sediments in a nearby quarry. In addition to crafting the monitoring plan, Omni personnel provided guidance for laboratory sample quality control and reporting requirements.
